In 1901, Jane Lathrop Stanford posed a challenge to qualify students for “personal success and direct usefulness” and to be “of greater service to the public.” With its 2017 Centennial renewal to this commitment, the Graduate School of Education is launching UP@GSE, to develop Undergraduate Programs that broaden and deepen understanding of education research, policy, and practice.

Please join us for an interactive presentation exploring how UP@GSE alumni are putting their education to use beyond Stanford’s boundaries, and hearing your ideas about how the GSE can best serve Stanford undergraduates.

Registration includes a three-course lunch for each attendee. Please include any dietary restrictions under the Notes section when you register.

About the Speaker
Jennifer Lynn Wolf, MAT '95, PhD '05, is a senior lecturer in the Graduate School of Education and the Program in Human Biology. She also serves as Director of UP@GSE, the School’s recent initiative to advise and educate undergraduates. UP@GSE aims to enable undergraduates, through their professional and civic lives, to employ what they learn for a greater educational and public good. A recipient of Stanford’s Dinkelspiel Award for Outstanding Service to Undergraduate Education, Jennifer teaches courses in teaching and learning, adolescent literacy and literature, and qualitative research methods. Previous to teaching and advising at Stanford, she taught high school English in Northern California.
